Days after he lost the battle to unseat Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun at the Supreme Court, Allied Peoples Movement candidate in the last governorship election, Adekunle Akinlade, has announced his return to the APC.
He said in Abeokuta on Monday that he and his colleagues and followers had proved the point they needed to prove and were ready to return to the party they all laboured to build.
The ruling party’s Public Relations Officer in the state, Tunde Oladunjoye, has however said that it had not been officially notified.
“The party is not formally aware. We will get further reports, study the situation and respond accordingly.
Anybody can just stand somewhere and address the press,” he said.
