Business mogul, Femi Otedola, has given an insight on why he donated a whooping N5bn to the foundation established by his DJ daughter, Cuppy.
At a Gala Night held in Abuja, Otedola shocked many people when he gave out the money.
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, had also donated N100m to Cuppy.
In an IG post on Tuesday, Otedola noted that he did so because of the interest he has for the Nigerian child, who is the focus of the foundation.
”At the #CuppyGoldGala, my Daughter Tolani presented my donation of 5 Billion Naira ($14.5 million dollars) to Nigerian children. We must not only think of ourselves in this life, but of those who are in need,” he said.
Prior to the donation, Otedola, who has sold hs massive shares in his hitherto most popular company, Forte Oil, had shown compassion to some ailing celebrities in Nigeria.
Among them are former Super eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu, and veteran broadcaster and actor, Zadiq Daba.
