Aisha Buhari wants FG to regulate social media like China

The First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has backed the move by the government to regulate social media use in Nigeria.
Although she did not speak directly about the hate speech bill in the National Assembly, she said there would be trouble if social media was not regulated, going by prevailing tendencies.
At a conference by Islamic leaders Aisha said if China could control its over one billion population on social media use, there was no need Nigeria should not be able to control its 180m people.
“We should do the needful or we will all regret soon,” she said.
