Justice and some restitution are trailing a Nigerian recently murdered in South Africa, Ebuka Okori.
While South African police officer, Austin Luciano Reynold, has been found guilty and is due for sentencing, the killer’s mother, Cathrine Reynold, has also expressed regrets over his son’s action.
Ebuka was shot at close range during an unauthorised raid by the police officer in January 2018.
Reynold appeared before Judge Shyam Gyanda on Friday on one charge of murder and three charges of robbery and was found guilty on all four charges after one of his accomplices testified against him in court.
In a chat with Channels Television, Catherine apologised for Ebuka’s death.
She regretted that her son chose the wrong path during his encounter with the deceased.
