There is confusion among many people in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, after a woman. Janet Jegede, allegedly stabbed her husband to death.
This happened in their house house on Alafiatayo, zone 1, Bamgboye area of Ado Ekiti.
The incident is compounded by what the woman, said to be a professional nurse, said after committing the crime, which made neighbors to suspect she has mental issue.
“We attended the same church. She had sent the two kid to church on Sunday for a special programme before the incident occurred. When we heard about the incident, the people at her house who met the policemen there said she was holding a knife and telling everybody to come in and eat, which suggested that she is psychologically disturbed,” one of them was quoted as saying.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu, the incident is currently being investigated.
The police said they had arrested the 30-year-old woman.
