Tottenham have finally played the Bayern card as they have sacked their coach, Maurico Pochetinno.
This happens about three weeks after Bayern asked their coach to go, following a devastating 4-1 loss to Frankfurt.
Pochettino’s exist is, however, been received with mixed feelings.
Some said the club management had no other option than take the hard step, based on the uninspiring performance of the club in recent times.
Yet some believe the coach had not done as badly as the sacking portends.
Others yet think he had stayed ‘too long’ with the Spurs, saying he could have stepped aside as Zidane did with Real Madrid.
“The Club can today announce that Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez have been relieved of their duties,” Tottenham, who sit 14th in the Premier League, said in a statement.
