The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has alerted the Federal Government that its decision to restrain the importation of certain products is hurting the economic power of Nigerians.
According to him, failure of the policy to make adequate preparation for enough locally produced goods is making it counter-productive.
Adeboye noted that the high prices placed on available items were going beyond the reach of the people.
He made this known while speaking with newsmen after ministering on the topic, ‘Arise and Shine,’ at the national headquarters of the RCCG, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, offered prayer for the nation, political leaders and traditional rulers..
He addressed them through the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola.
The pastor said that it was regrettable that the wealth of the nation were concentrated in the hands of a few, adding that the underdevelopment the country was suffering made its 59th Independence anniversary almost meaningless.
