The battle to secure the release of Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, has echoed in the US city of Bergen County in New Jersey.
Residents of the town vowed to, on Monday, gather to protest his detention.
Sowore was arrested by the DSS over the Revolution Now protest he is leading.
He has been granted bail but the conditions have not been met, despite the fact that the court has varied such.
NJ.com, ‘The Punch’ reports, captured the pulse of the American people concerned.
Sowore’s family live in Bergen.

Speaking on the gathering, Haworth Councilwoman Heather Wasser said, “We want the federal government paying attention. We want the United Nations paying attention. We want him out of Nigeria safely.”
