Weeks after a plan to suspend the British parliament for a speedy Brexit process failed, Queen Elizabeth 11 has strongly expressed her position on leaving the European Union.

At a parliamentary ceremony where the Prime minister, Boris Johnson was present, she, among other issues, spoke on the Brexit plan and said a December 31 exit by December 31.
She stated:

“My government’s priority has always been to secure the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union on October 31,” the 93-year-old monarch said from a gilded throne, delivering words written by government officials.

“My government intends to work towards a new partnership with the European Union, based on free trade and friendly cooperation.”
