The Governing Council of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, on Tuesday, approved the appointment of Mr Gani Ogundahunsi as the rector of the institution.
A statement issued by Mr Samuel Ojo, the institution’s Director, Public Relations and Protocol, said that the council also appointed Mr Atiku Sule and Mrs F. R. Aladeniyi as the Registrar and Librarian respectively.
The statement quoted Mr Banji Alabi, the Chairman of the council as saying that all the appointments were with immediate effect.
Ogundahunsi had been in acting capacity since Sept. 18, 2018, following the voluntary retirement of the former rector, Mr Idowu Ologunagba.
Alabi, on behalf of the governing council, members of staff and students of the polytechnic, congratulated the principal officers and wished them a successful tenure.
