Sen. Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, on Thursday felicitated with a former governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko (CON) as he turned 65.

Sen. Tofowomo, in a statement signed by his media aide, Mr Olumide Akinrinlola, in Okitipupa, said that he was greatly indebted to Mimiko because he was a beneficiary of his caring heart.

He thanked the former governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the state in his administration as the Commissioner of Transport ,which gave him the political will to become a senator of the federal republic.

The senator, who said Mimiko would continue to be his leader for life, described the former governor as a living legend who had contributed immensely to the state politically and economically.

“Dr. Mimiko has contributed immensely to the political, economical, social development of the state and the welfare and well being of the indigenes.

‘I am indeed indebted to him because I was a beneficiary of his caring heart for giving me the opportunity to serve as a Commissioner of Transport in his administration which invariably gave me the political will to become a senator.

“Dr. Mimiko is a living legend who has contributed to many people’s lives, I congratulate him on his 65th birthday and pray to God to grant him long life and prosperity in good health and peace of mind,” he said.
