The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that a Police Inspector shot himself and his wife dead at the Prison Barrack, Ikoyi in Lagos State on Saturday October 26.
The command however has yet to disclose the name of the policeman and the wife.
While the man was said to be an Inspector of Police the wife was said to be an Inspector of Prisons.
Lagos police PRO, Bala Elkana, described the incident as a dastard act.
He, however, said the names of the victims could not be disclosed yet as their family had yet to be contacted.
