The agony of a Nigerian who claimed he has found out that two of his three children were not his has been compounded.
The reason is that the wife is said to have told him that even the only one he thought was his is not his after all.
In an update to his story, as he is revealing on Facebook, the man, Ijimakinwa Dayo, said the woman had told him that none of the three children was fathered by him.
Ijimakinwa and the wife have been married for 12 years before he, according to him, discovered that she is not faithful.
Although the woman has not made any public statement, Ijimakinwa noted in the update:
“She called me today, telling me that none of the children is mine, but I have proof that only the girl is mine.
I want the best for all my children and would not like my girl-child to end up like her mother.
Since she has decided not to come out of the shadows and tell me where she is, in other for us to do the needful, I have decided to keep the matter pending .
I know what’s mine will always be mine. In the meantime, I have to put myself together and be stronger than ever before.
Thanks to all my well-wishers” (sic)
People who have been following Ijimakinwa’s story has been reacting in different ways.
While many pity him, one woman cautioned sympathisers against what she sees as hasty judgement, saying there was the need to hear from the woman first.
“Men, there own side of the story will always be right,” she said.
Another Nigerian advised Ijimakinwa to report the case to the police, just as one urged his neighbors to move closer to him because of negative impacts of depression.
One told the man: “Bro, it’s so painful to bear and endear. The hands of clock would neither be dragged back.
“Remember, there’s nothing happening not that has never happened before. Thank ur God that u are still young and vibrant when you discovered this error. Some people found out theirs very late in time of their inactive life. Hold yourself for there are better days ahead.
You daughter needs u because u are the only one who can take good care of her knowing she is of your offspring.”
Also, another friend counseled him, “Be strong oh. Life goes on. Don’t let somebody give u BP oh. Everything will settle. Nothing wet time no fit heal. Pikin must find papa come one day one day.”
