After a long battle that looked lost for Liverpool, they fought back to cancel a first half goal by Manchester United in their much-anticipated Sunday EPL match.
Rashford crowned Man U’s burning determination by perfectly finishing a cross from the right, although the goal was contested by Liverpool following an earlier suspected foul against Origi.
The argument that ensued was decided by VAR in favour of United.
Liverpool were, indeed, very unlucky in the technology court on Sunday as the contest went there thrice with Man United winning on all occasions.
Mane got a goal shortly after Rasford’s but he was suspected of a handball.
The VAR gain gave it to Man U as the goal was nullified.
In the dying minutes, one of United’s players, Fred, was suspected to have stopped the ball with his hand, forcing the case to the VAR again.
Technology however still gave it to the United.
But a perfect conversion by Adam Lalalana, following a cross from the right of the United’s goal area, kept Liverpool’s seeming invincibility alive as they escaped with the 1-1 draw.
