Kaduna State Government appears not to be leaving any stone unturned towards securing the release of six pupils abducted on Thursday in Engravers College, in a remote part of the state.
According to the Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, the government is working with the families of the abducted, whom the kidnappers have reached concerning ransom.
He said in Abuja on Friday: “They have made a demand for money and that is being negotiated.”
The incident reminds people of the fate of Chibok girls and their Dapchi counterparts who were abducted some years ago, with some of them still in captives.
While the Chibok girls are still like to be in tens, the most popular of the captives still with the abductors among the Dapchi girls is Saribu Leah.
