A pregnant lady is among the four sisters killed in a road crash that occurred in Edo State on Saturday morning.
It involved a BMW 5 series car that ran into the four sisters at Uselu, along Lagos-Benin road, Benin city.
Eyewitness accounts said the driver of the car, who was with his wife, lost control and hit the sisters who were at the bus stop.
The tragedy generated tension leading to protests by a group of youths who mounted a road block.
An attempt to break the barrier led to another battle between them and the police, in the process of which some of them were said to have been injured.
“It was unfortunate, our men are there to restore peace and they are doing their best. It was an accident and It’s quite unfortunate,” chide Nwabuzor, Edo State Police PRO, was quoted as commenting on the matter..
