About a year after some armed robbers wreaked havocs, killing several people including a pregnant woman, in Offa, Kwara State, another curious robbery incident took place in Ilorin, the state capital, on Saturday.
In the attack that occurred in an NNPC filling station, the robbers were said to have beheaded a policeman, among other people they allegedly killed.
The state police command has confirmed the attack but it has not given the details.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident was quoted as saying, “The information is true. But the command is investigating the issue.”

Reports said the policeman killed was a sergeant.
The robbers reportedly struck in the night when security people were already asleep, with some residents noting that the mega station was under lock and key on Sunday.
