The world’s No 1 tennis player, Naomi Osaka, has been defeated by Belinda Bencic of Switzerland 7-5, 6-4 in straight sets.

During the match, Naomi Osaka did not seem fit, she complained about her achy knee. Her left knee was covered whilst she played and also had to seek help from a trainer.

The No. 1 player and defending champion dropped out of the US Open after she lost to her contender, Belinda Bencic. The achy knee prevented her from covering the court and preparing for shots the way she’d like.

“I honestly didn’t move well today. Do you know what I mean? I felt like I was always flat-footed. … The knee was a little bit annoying in the movement aspect,” Osaka said. “But I think that that’s something I should have overcome.”
