Vice principal in court for alleged love advances to married woman

A 46-year-old Vice Principal of School of Health Technology Bebeji Kano, Mas’ud Abdullahi, on Tuesday appeared in a Kano State Senior Magistrates’ Court for allegedly enticing a married woman.

Abdullahi, who lives at Tudun Yola Quarters Kano, is charged with two counts of trespass and enticing a married woman.

The Police Counsel, ASP Yusuf Sale, told the court that the complainant Nafisa Na’iya of Hausawa Quarters Kano, reported the case at the Metro Area Command Office Kano, through a letter of complaints on Aug.19.

Sale alleged that the defendant entered the complainant’s matrimonial home in Hausawa Quarters Kano.

He alleged that sometime in August, the accused sent series of enticing text messages to the complainant who is the defendant’s former student at School of Health Technology Kano, through WhatsApp, to submit her self to him in order to have sex.

“The defendant also promised to award marks to the complainant to enably her pass her exams,” he alleged.

The offence, Sale said, contravened the provisions of sections 348 and 389 of the Penal Code.

After the charge was to read to him, the defendant pleaded not guilty.

The Senior Magistrate, Aminu Fagge, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N1 million with two reliable sureties in like sum.

He adjourned the case until Sept.30, for hearing.
