A few hours ago, DMW boss and songwriter, Davido, penned an emotional tribute to his late mother, Veronica Imade Adeleke.
Veronica was born in 1963, gave birth to Davido November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
She, however, died on March 6, 2003, with her death shocking many people.
She passed away on March 6th, 2003, coincidentally on the 40th birthday of her husband, Adedeji Adeleke.
Sources said she went to the church but when she got back, she locked herself in a room and few hours later, she was found dead in her apartment.
She was a lecturer at Babcock University in Osun State and inspired her husband do donate money to the university.

Davido’s mom loved music as well. She had a record label named after Davido, “David’s Band.” During Imade’s funeral, her band played to pay tribute to her.
Family commemorates her death every year by organizing a large ceremony,

Veronica had four children with Adeleke.Two sons, Adewale and David, and the daughters Sharon and Ashley.
Davido named his two daughters after her – Aurora Imade and Hailey Veronica.
