Unknown armed men have hijacked four Zambian trucks in South Africa.
In a statement released by the Zambian embassy in South Africa, the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday.
Following reports, the trucks carrying different vehicle engines for repair were coming from Zambia to South Africa when attacked.
“It was reported that the drivers were tied with cable wires and bundled in a car before being dumped at the roadside near the area where the attack happened,’’ the statement said.

Three trucks were hijacked in Wadeville, Germiston while the fourth truck was hijacked in Joeslovo in Gauteng Province, north-eastern South Africa.
No one was injured and the affected Zambians are safe while the embassy is investigating the attack to make sure the trucks are recovered.
