A man has been arrested for shooting his pregnant wife dead after a bullet reportedly hit her while he was trying to kill a snake with a hunting gun.
Twenty-eight-year-old Ali El Arid, who cares forr livestock on a farm in the Seydisehir district of Konya province in Turkey, has two children with his wife.
According to him, he was only trying to kill the snake when the bullet hit his six-months pregnant wife, Zeyneb El Arid, in the back.
Following reports, El Arid called an ambulance was taken to the Seydisehir State Hospital, but despite emergency she died.
El Arid is still under investigation in the police custody.
