An Islamic leader in Rivers State, Alhaji Nasir Uhor, has shed light on an alleged demolition of a mosque by the Nyesn Wife government of the state.
the purported demolition has generated controversy, to the point that it has fueled a feud between the governor and his Kano State counterpart, Abdullah Ganduje.
While the latter has threatened to sue him, Like too has lambasted him, as contained in a statement he issued on Saturday.
But commenting on the matter, Uhor, who is also the Vice President General, Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs, debunked the alleged demolition.
He said during a radio programme that there was no physical structure of a mosque on the disputed land in Rainbow Town in Port Harcourt.
“The insinuation that there is a 10-storey building is not true”, he said.
He, however, urged the government to promote belongingness and cordiality among all segments of the state.
