Presidential candidate of the Peoples democratic Party in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has joined the family of the party’s women leader, Toyin Ajinde, to mourn her following her death after a car crash.
Ajinde was said to have gone into a coma after the crash and rushed to the intensive care unit of the Trauma Centre in Ondo but she gave up the ghost in the hospital.
Atiku said in a tweet: ‘Mrs Toyin Ajinde’s commitment to a better Nigeria was unparalleled. As a PDP woman leader in Ondo, she worked tirelessly to achieve this. I knew this because she was my longtime staunch supporter. I’m saddened by her loss. May her family be comforted & her soul rest in peace.”
