Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State-based man, Tunmise Abraham, who allegedly raped and killed her landlord, Mrs. Bukola Olanrewaju, has started speaking to the police.
Abraham had run away after committing the offence but the long arm of the law has caught up with him.
According to the Ekiti State police command, the 39-year-old has admitted hitting the 38-year-old tailor and mother of three with a stick out of anger.
He, however, said he did not kill her intentionally, claiming that the late Bukola always taunted him with being a stammerer and mad person.
According to the state’s Police commissioner, Mr Amba Asuquo, Abraham was arrested in Akure.“The suspect overpowered the deceased by forcefully collecting from her the stick she was holding and using it to beat her on the head, which resulted into a serious head injury.
“He further found a rope which he used to tie up the hands of the woman, who was later found dead in a pool of blood as a result of the head injury she sustained,” the CP added.
