A trader, Isah Mohammed, who allegedly stole an LED Street Light valued at N70,000, on Friday appeared in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The police charged Mohammed, 40, who lives at Ojota, Lagos,with theft.

He alleged that the defendant sneaked into Magodo Estate with a ladder at 2 a.m. and removed the lED lights.
Ajayi also alleged that the defendant who confessed to the crime, took the police to the place where he kept the stolen items.
He also said that a solar light, a battery box and one tyre were found in the place.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 which prescribes three years jail term for stealing.
Following his plea of not guilty, Magistrate O.O Fagbohun, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
Fagbohun ordered that the surety must be gainfully employed.
The magistrate adjourned the case until Aug. 14, for hearing .
