He seems to have drawn inspiration from the story of iconic Black American leader, Martin Luther King.
He received biting racist chants last week when he missed a penalty kick against Wolves.Incidentally, his teammate, Rashford also missed oe on Saturday.
Football sages too will remember that Chelsea’s Tammy Abrahams was subjected to similar racial threats when he missed a penalty against Liverpool.
Ironically, again, Abrahams it was that gave Chelsea its first League win when he scored two goals on Saturday – in the club’s 3-1 win against Norwich.
While on a visit to The French and Manchester United midfielder was subjected to numerous sickening comments after missing a penalty during his club’s 1-1 draw with Wolves last week.
Posting a photo with his son in front of images of human rights legend Martin Luther King and his late father, Fassou Antoine, Sunday afternoon, Pogba wrote: ‘My ancestors and my parents suffered for my generation to be free today, to work, to take the bus, to play football. Racist insults are ignorance and can only make me stronger and motivate me to fight for the next generation.’
