Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe says promoting political party differences by any elected public office holder after elections is inimical to the development of any society.
The deputy governor stated this when members of Sanga Local Government Council, led by the Chairman, Mr Charles Danladi paid her a visit on Friday at her residence at Gwantu, headquarters of the area.
Dr Balarabe said it was incumbent on all elected office holders at all levels of governance to carry all manner of people along irrespective of political or religious differences to achieve desired progress and development.
“I urge us all to promote peace and peaceful coexistence at all times so as to benefit from developmental programs by government and private organizations,’’ she said.
Earlier, the Sanga LG chairman had urged the state government to upgrade the Gwantu Rural hospital to the status of a General hospital to enhance access to quality healthcare services by residents.
“We also request for a reconsideration of Sanga Local Government Area in deductions from its statutory allocation from the Federation Account on account of security in view of the relative peace existing in the area,’’ he said.
The Chairman then commended the state government for the renovation and fencing of Government Secondary School, Gwantu and requested for the tarring of Gwantu township roads to match the status the town had assumed.
