At a time the aged mother of Samson Siasia, former Super Eagles Coach, is still being held by kidnappers, the world football body, FUFA, has banned him for life.
He was also fined CHF 50,000, as he was found guilty of match-ifxing.
According to reports, Siasia who coached various national youth sides before a spell as senior coach in 2016, was linked to FIFA’s long-running investigation into the activities of Singaporean Wilson Raj Perumal who has been described by the football body as a “known match fixer”.
Although the period when FIFA believes he committed his infractions is unclear, he was found ‘guilty of accepting bribes in relation to the manipulation of matches’.
In FIFA’S WORDS, HE has been banned “from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) at both national and international level”.
Siasia’s mother was kidnapped weeks ago and is still with the criminals who have demanded a ransom that was N50m at a time.
The embattled coach had lamented that he had no money to give the kidnappers.
