Formerly called Taxify, Bolt, the leading on-demand transportation platform in Africa, has launched operations in Port Harcourt.
The transport company has now been established in eight cities in Nigeria including, Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Owerri, Benin City, Calabar and Uyo.
Bolt allows people to request a taxi or private driver from their smartphone quickly as well as electric scooters.
According to Bolt’s Regional Manager for West Africa, Uche Okafor, they aim to offer the most convenient and safest service for urban travel.
He said: ” Port Harcourt is a natural next step for Bolt as it further reinforces our position to make urban travel easier, quicker and more reliable. We are also looking forward to introducing flexible employment opportunities to thousands of drivers and vehicle owners in the city.”
