ARSENAL beat Burnley 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday and the performance of Real Madrid misfit Dani Ceballos was certainly a highlight.
Arsenal followed up their 1-0 Premier League win over Newcastle last week by battling their way past Burnley at the Emirates.
The Gunners took the lead through Alexandre Lacazette, who converted after some good work from Ceballos.
Burnley looked like they could secure a point through Ashley Barnes, who poked home from close range just before half time.
But Arsenal were able to pick up all three points courtesy of a fine strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Ceballos, again, chipped in with the assist.
So good was his performance it begs the question: why did Real Madrid ever let him leave?
Ceballos has never sparkled at Real. In 2017, when they signed him, they beat Barcelona in order to do so.
But the Spain international has never been given a chance over at the Bernabeu.
Real are a team sorely in need of stardust. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have waned and Zinedine Zidane knows it.
Zidane believes Manchester United star Paul Pogba is the answer. He’s spent much of the summer attempting to lure the France international to La Liga.
