There are many pretty and smart single women who wonder who are single. They wee single yesterday, today still they remain so. So, people, including themselves, tend to wonder why they are not catching the eye of any man. And they therefore start to ruminate on what may be wrong with them.
While it is quite easy for some women to get approached and propositioned by the opposite sex, it is hard for others.
But we must get something clear. Clearly, some ladies are single because they choose to be. They are simply not interested in being in a serious relationship at this time in their lives. For some others, they are single due to circumstances. Many ambitious and very successful women find it hard to marry.
There is no notion that the more successful a woman is, the more threatening she is to a man. The assumption from men is that she will be very disrespectful, arrogant and proud.
Let us a look at some reasons women remain single, however.
Being unreceptive
Most times, ladies are actually the cause of their not getting approached. Some are just too uptight and often wear a stern expression that wards off any potential suitors.
Setting unrealistic goals
Unrealistic expectations from a man, and from what a relationship should be about are the cause of the single status of many women. Many go as far as setting unfeasible goals that are almost impossible for their partners to live up to.
Being materialistic
Freedom
Relationship requires work and a degree of accountability, and to many women, that’s a no-no. Many women out there are not willing to give up their independence and freedom for anything. They want the ability to make their own decisions without being accountable or submissive to anyone.
To avoid being restricted to one person
Most ladies, like men, want to explore and embark on many sexual conquests without any form of inhibition. For this reason, they’d rather remain single.
Ethnicity and religion
Failure to see their own flaws
While searching for the perfect man, some women fail to see their own imperfections. While some ladies are so busy finding fault with everyone, they fail to look at themselves and their own flaws. Some of these flaws are the reason they are still single as most men can’t handle it. Look inwards and change those habits and attitudes that drive people away from you.
Afraid of separation
Most marriages are crashing on a daily basis over flimsy excuses. Some ladies would rather want to stay single than jump into marriage and be out in a couple of months.
Love of career
Some women are so in love with their careers and cannot give such up for men. For some ladies, a man could be a stumbling block to getting higher in her career. Focusing on one’s career could lead to things like promotions, higher pay and lots of other things. But with a man in the picture, it would be a little bit difficult to focus on your career. So, some women would rather remain single than sacrifice their career.
Trust Issues
Some ladies have been hurt badly in the past and they find it hard to trust any man. They would rather remain single than fall into the arms of another man who would deceive them with sweet talks that mean nothing.
