Obasanjo warns against managing diversity with impunity

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on Nigerians, especially governments, to be careful in the way they manage the country’s diversity.
In a speech monitored on ‘Channels Television’ on Monday, he said diversity was a sensitive phenomenon, and should not be taken for granted.
Although he did not mention a particular government or political office holder, Obasanj said, “It is not good to manage diversity with impunity. If you manage diversity with impunity, it may lead to a situation you don’t want.”
