Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, on Tuesday hosted Mallam Mele Kyari, the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC).
Also at the meeting was the immediate past GMD of the NNPC group, Dr. Maikanti Baru.
Baru, who retired from national service following his statutory age of 60, formally handed over to the new GMD, Kyari on Monday, July 8.
He was the 18th GMD of the NNPC until his retirement.
