A Lagos-based drummer and dancer, Uche Obi, has cried out following the failure of a developer identified as Jeremiah, to give hi access into an apartment for which he has paid.
Obi, who has taken part in many shows within and outside the country, said he paid N400,000 for the facility at 11, Abeni Street, Soluyi, Gbagada, lagos.
Further investigation, however, revealed that up to 35 intending tenants of the house may have been duped.
Uche told phenomenal.com.ng, “What I am experiencing now is happening to another friend of mine who paid for another apartment in the new building. I was told to come for the key on Wednesday, but the developer has refused to show up. The landlord knows about our payment but I am not sure if the man has transferred the money to him (landlord).
“Efforts to reach the developer have not yielded fruits. Call being made to his phone are either not going through or being answered.”
The artiste, otherwise called Ache obi drums, however, added that the police had arrested the landlord.
