Senator Elisha Abbo has pleaded not guilty to the assault charge against him and granted bail in the sum of N5million.
He was arraigned on Monday by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja after a video of him assaulting the woman went viral.
Senior Magistrate, Abdullahi Ilellah, granted the bail and adjourned the case to July 22nd for hearing.
It was gathered that the senator, who was smiling throughout the proceedings, was also seen taking selfie with people.

Abbo was interrogated last Thursday and detained for 24 hours after he released a statement to apologise.
