A Minna Magistrates’ Court, on Friday sentenced 18-year-old Anas Haruna, to two months imprisonment for stealing a cell phone.
The convict was docked on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and theft.
The Magistrate, Mariam Kings, however, gave the convict, N10,000 option of fine.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Aliyu Yakubu, told the court that one Aisha Husseini of Paida area reported the matter at the GRA Police Station on June 7.
Yakubu said the defendant and one other person now at large, allegedly attacked the complainant at old Airport Road, Minna, and snatched her Tecno cell phone valued at N4,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 97 and 288 of the Penal Code.
