Ras Kimono’s daughter tackles group organising foundation in his honour

Ras Kimono’s daughter disowns foundation being launched in his honour.
There are hurdles ahead a group of people intending to launch a foundation in honour of late reggae star, Ras Kimono.
One of his daughters, Oge Kimono, said her family have nothing to do with it as the organisers had allegedly failed to carry them along.
She said she would not be part of the programme said to be slated for Asaba on Saturday, June 15.
She said, “I know that many people love my late father and are willing to celebrate him in different ways. We are most grateful for their show of love and affection. A foundation in the name of my father is a serious project that needs proper consultation with all my siblings and key people connected with the Kimono legacy.
‘It should never be a project for a quick buck. For the avoidance of doubt, I will not be in Asaba for the purported lunch of the so-called foundation which does not have my endorsement.”
