Some Nigerians who threatened to protest at the church of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, accused of raping Busola Dakota, carried out their threat this morning.
They, however, did not have all the day as another group of people staged a pro-Fatoyinbo protest.
The scenario, which is unprecedented in the history of the church, and almost elsewhere in Nigeria, is the climax of a battle that has been going on socio media, over the allegation made by Busola.
It also drew a lot of policemen and other security men to the premises and adjoining areas.
While many friends have been unfriending themselves over the matter, fatoyinbo has also threatened legal action.
While the anti-Fatoyinbo tagged their protest #ChurchToo, with various inscriptions on their placards, the one for him tagged theirs #ChurchToo, the pro-Fatoyinbo group emerged with handwritten placards that read ‘We love Pastor Fatoyinbo’ and ‘Biodun is a great man’.
