Nigeria’s No. 1 golfer, Andrew Odoh, on Friday said his aim at the moment was to ensure that he was victorious at the ongoing KCB Karen Masters tournament in Kenya.
Odoh said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) via chat from Karen Country Club, South West of Nairobi, Kenya, venue of the tournament.
NAN reports that the tournament teed-off on June 27 and will end on June 30.
“ I was here last year, so I believe that experience will give me a focus on what to watch out for, I’m positively hoping for the best and I believe my best will be good enough.
“So far, I have had a good start, and I’m just going to focus and thankfully, I’m in great form, so I believe something good should come out of this.
“This is the second edition of this event, I played decently last year and I have got into a good start, I hope to win.
“It’s a very prestigious tournament, so, I’m aiming at making a mark in Kenya, it’s a Sunshine Tours though competition is stiff but nothing is impossible,’’ he said.
NAN reports that Odoh, Sunday Olopade and Vincent Ikemefuna are the three Nigerians invited for the tournament; in the first edition where South Africa’s Michael Palmers won the prize money of 2 million Rands.
The tournament is sponsored by Kenya Commercial Bank.
