What you need to know about Instagram’s new ‘like’ regime

Sorry. From now, you may no more be able to see the number of people who like your posts on Instagram.
The reason is that the platform owners want you to have less anxiety about how many people who do so, as they want you to enjoy the fun on operating on the platform more than anything else.
As a result, Instagram wants to test-run hiding the “like” counts this week.
So, if you do not see the rate on your page, do not panic.
“We want people to worry a little bit less about how many likes they’re getting on Instagram and spend a bit more time connecting with the people that they care about,” top official of the medium, Adam Mosseri, said during the keynote of F8, Facebook’s annual software developer conference in San Jose, California.
According to reports, he noted that under the test, the number of people who liked a post will no longer be shown. Users will be able to look at who liked their own post, but they wouldn’t be able to see how many likes someone else’s post got unless they manually count them. A post’s creator will be able to see their own like counts if they choose to do so.
“We don’t want Instagram to feel like a competition. What we aspire to do is lead the fight against online bullying,” Mosseri added.
