Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has secured another room in the mansion of history as he has emerged winner of the Seria A Player of the Year Award.
The feat is not an end in itself but it is a means to making him the first player to pick up the equivalent in England, Spain and Italy.
Ronaldo scored 21 goals in 30 league matches, picking up eight assists for Juventus this season. The Portuguese also picked up six goals in the Champions League, and a goal in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Speaking on the award on Saturday, he thanked wish Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and described him as a great man.
He bid him farewell, saying, ‘Thank you Mister! We lived a single year together but it was awesome because besides being a great coach you are a great man. It’s been a pleasure working with you!’
