Thieves gave multi-talented producer, Sanjo, a raw deal a few days ago when they stole his laptop.
It is an apple computer that a professional like Sanjo uses.
The film and music producer, who is also a cinematographer, had gone to record a corporate programme at the historical facility when the goons struck.
Phenomenal.com.ng gathered that the recording proper had finished before Sanjo was made to part with the property.
An eyewitness said, “At the end of the programme, the participants had to step outside the hall for a photo session,” the eyewitness said. “The laptop was on a table in one of the outer spaces. An official of City Hall was at a table not far from there. He too had a laptop on a desk not close by. But by the time Sanjo and the participants returned into the hall, his gadget had disappeared.
“One thing that surprised all of us is that by the time they were going for the photographs, almost all the participants had gone. That is why the organisers, alongside Sanjo, had to search some of the rooms in the City Hall. However, they never found the laptop.”
Speaking to phenomenal.com.ng, Sanjo, who has shot films for the likes of Desmond Elliot, Muyiwa Ademola and Dayo Amusa; and who also produced music videos, including Akeem Lasisi’s ‘Udeme’ and ‘Asabi Alakara’, expressed serious concern. According to him, he is particularly pained that the laptop is not an ordinary one, noting that it contained a lot of packages with which he works.
During the event, participants also discovered that it is not automatic to have the air condition on at City Hall.
“We normally take permission from an office in Alausa (Government Secretariat) before we can put on the central air con,” an employee of City Hall said.
