Google will double the size of its location in the Southern German city of Munich to over 1,000 employees as it expands a data privacy campaign, the U.S. technology conglomerate said on Tuesday.

Report says Google plans to open a “Safety Engineering Centre’’ in Munich.
The number of specialists dedicated to security and the privacy sphere would grow from 100 people to 200 people.
Google and other tech companies have been forced to answer privacy concerns as international criticism has been stepped up in the last few years.
Google, at its developer conference recently, pledged a simplified method for users to control their privacy settings.
Google’s Munich offices are also key to the development of the internet browser Chrome and other cloud services.
