Man City Coach, Pep Guardiola, has said that their last opponent in the EPL this season will be tough.
The match with Brighton is the only one between Man City and the EPL victory, with Liverpool hot-chasing them.
The man who received the April Coach of the Month Award today (Tuesday) said about the opponents, “They went to Arsenal and got a result. We played them in the FA Cup and that was tough because they are strong, have the set pieces, and I know they’re playing for pride.
‘But it’s in our hands. We were seven points behind and never gave up. We won 13 games in a row and that’s why we are in this position.”
This is the second time he has been awarded this season, and his seventh since taking the job at Manchester City in 2016.
On Tuesday morning, Guardiola chose to accept his award with all his backroom staff present.
Sharing on his official Twitter page, Guardiola tweeted: ‘An all-inclusive award for the staff. Thank you!’
The Spaniard guided his side to victory in all five of their Premier League games during the month, including victories over Tottenham and Manchester United.
City are a victory away from retaining the title after beating Leicester City 1-0 on Monday with just one match remaining.
Also, ahead of their last match with Brighton he said:
“People in the media desire Liverpool to win the title. So, I am sorry for the people that it’s in our hands.
‘Liverpool are playing without pressure because it’s not in their hands.
“We have the pressure because it’s in our hands. One game left and we’ll try. It is now 95 points and we need one more victory. We’ll go to Brighton trying. I don’t have to say anything to the players because they are mature.
