Governor Nyeson Wike could not hold tears back on Wednesday when he spoke on his victory in the highly controversial governorship election in the state.
They were, however, not tears of joy as sometimes experienced in such a circumstance.
Rather, Wike wept as he remembered the killings that took place during the election.
Apparently trying to say people did not need to die for him to be a governor, he said, “I don’t need to be a governor for people to die. Unfortunate some people will want to kill because of power. This victory must be dedicated to the Almighty God and to those who died.”
