The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has disclosed the steps and guidelines to follow on how to collect certificates.
The educational body provided the steps for the collection on Twitter while responding to questions on how to get the certificate for World Education Services (WES) and collection of WAEC certificate on behave of someone.
The following are the steps to follow, according to the examination council:
1. Letter of Attestation: which is to be written on a letterhead, stamped & signed by a clergyman, or imam, or a court of law
2. 2. A sworn affidavit from a court of law
3. Photocopy of result printout from WAEC’s website
4. An amount of N10,000.00 which exclude postage fee
5. An Approved courier services (prices depends on destination)

WAEC adds on its Twitter handle, that the following steps are to be followed for certificate collection by proxy:
1.1. Passport page of the candidate;
2. Visa Page and residential permit of the candidate
3. Application letter from the candidate:
i. Address these two letters to the DR/Zonal Coordinator, WAEC, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
ii. Include your phone number(s), the email address in the letters the exam particulars
4. Authority letter from the candidate.
