Acclaimed actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has called for a revolution in Nigeria.
She said things were so bad with the country that people must get angry and fight for the change desired.
According to her, based on the situation of things in the country now, there is the need for a revolution-mided leader like a former Ghanaian Head of State, Jerry Rawlings.
She reflected on the Nigerian situation today (Friday) during a question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter.
She said, “I am appealing to the government to immediately see to the rising rate of depression, suicide, police brutality, ritual killings and general lack of safety in the Country. It’s at an all-time high now, there should be a state of emergency declared.
“Excuses won’t move us forward. We must be angry enough and divert our anger towards looking for real change. We need to know the use of political offices, ask questions and engage the leaders.
“I hope soon we birth a Jerry Rawlins or something of that kind. We do need a revolution. Nigeria is too big and important for it to implode. However, there are still honest people. Don’t be discouraged.”

His Excellency Former President Jerry Rawlings made a visit to Somalia. He was grreted by the Force Commander and Deputy UN Mission and he given a Guard of Honour at the Force HQ.
