Barcelona has ruled out injury to Lionel Messi after Chris Smalling’s whack left the Argentine superstar with a bloody nose during the first leg of champions league quarter final match at Old Trafford, Wednesday.
The player was examined but is fine and can play at the weekend if Valverde wants
Barcelona are calm on Leo Messi. He was tested on Thursday by medics who certified him okay.
Messi was bleeding a lot but tests showed there is no injury to worry about.
Barca will not publish a statement about Messi because he was never officially considered injured, finishing the game at Old Trafford.
Messi is available for the weekend although coach Ernesto Valverde is expected to rest the Argentine star for the trip to play against Huesca.
That’s because on Tuesday, Barca face Man United in the Champions League again, the quarter-final second leg, this time at Camp Nou.
