A Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) student of a Lagos-based higher institution, simply identified as Ife, has been caught stealing from the company she is attached with.

She was said to have been caught on CCTV after a series of fast games that cost the organization good thousands of money.

The SIWES is a skills training programme designed to expose and prepare students of universities, polytechnics, colleges of technology, colleges of agriculture and colleges of education for the industrial work situation they are likely to meet after graduation.

However, the scheme also affords students the opportunity of familiarising with the needed experience in handling equipment and machinery that are usually not available in their institutions.

As a norm, students in the faculty of administration are expected to undergo an internship programme called students industrial work experience scheme (SIWES).

Ife was privileged to work in a reputable firm for her SIWES owing to this opportunity, the lady began to steal from the company.

According to ‘’Gossipmillnaija’’, she first stole but her act went scot-free. She became emboldened by the fact that she was not caught. She went on to work steal again on the morning of a particular day. Yet again, she was not caught. Ife took this as an opportunity to rob the company again.

But she did not even wait till the next day, she went ahead to steal on the afternoon of the same day. This was when she was caught by her boss who was a woman.

Dumbfounded and shocked at Ife’s act, the company decided to go through their CCTV records, and just as expected, they found further proof showing that the student-intern had been a regular customer when it came to stealing.
